I'm 10 1/2 weeks from going to England, and I must say that things are coming along as splendidly as they can, I suppose. My original plans of going on a work visa did not work out, but some things have fallen in line that will allow me to travel and breathe and enjoy myself for a while before I have to come back to sort that out.
I'm incessantly cleaning out my closet and going through everything I have almost every day to see what I can sell or give away. I'm currently trying to focus on enjoying the holidays as much as I can, and counting down the days when I can get the heck outta here.
I am really, really, REALLY looking forward to starting a new chapter in my book of life. Thanks to technology, I have had the extreme pleasure of getting a head start in meeting Phil's friends. I am so excited to meet them all in person. I also have concert tickets to see The Civil Wars in London in March, and I can hardly contain myself. I am looking forward to new scenery, a new life, and sharing it all with Phil.

From the Beginning
This is my favorite picture of me with my favorite guy. Phil and I met just over a year ago, and have made waves across the internet and Atlantic Ocean ever since. We are completely, grossly in love, and I am venturing across the pond in February to be with him in London. I created this blog specifically to chronicle my journey from the Bluegrass to Blighty, and so that each of you could share in my adventure with me. Yes, there will be a little culture shock, but I have never been more excited for anything in my 30 years of living. Nothing has ever felt more right. I hope you enjoy the experience as much as I already do, and please keep in touch and comment as much as you like.
